dans le container polyphonique, quand plusieurs notes (3 dans cet exemple) sont jouées, leurs informations respectives de gate et pitch sont superposées, puisque venant d'une seule entrée "physique". si vous utilisez le voice combiner, vous obtenez les 3 gates et les 3 valeurs de pitch "combinées". notez que vous aurez ces informations également en connectant le cv gate et le cv pitch à l'extérieur du container poly.
J'en profite pour ajouter cette note de Jeff Mc Clitock sur les fonctions du voice combiner et du poly to mono :
- the poly to mono module converts a polyphonic signal to mono by splitting off only the most recent note played. the output will be similar to a monophoic instrument. this is useful when trying to modulate a monophonic object (e.g. an LFO) from a monophonic signal (e.g. note pitch), which is usually not possible in a meaningful way.
- the voice combiner module mixes down a polyphonic signal into a monophonic signal thatincludes all voices that are palying.
