The 1957 Historic Flame top model is pretty much like all of the rest of the historic models out there. This one has a flame top as opposed to the normal Goldtop that you see. The guitar features a mahogany body with a maple top, mahogany neck with a rosewood fretboard, 22 frets, trapezoid inlays, pickguard, binding, hard tail bridge, two humbuckers, two volumes, two tones and a three way switch.

UTILIZATION

The flame on this model was nicely done, but some people dislike it and call it the "bbq grill" flame. Not sure why... These models are put together very well. The first thing you notice is that the finish itself was pretty much flawless. I couldn't find any drips or any issues where the binding meets the paint. The nut itself was cut perfectly, so there were no tuning problems to worry about. The frets on this were nicely leveled, and I was able to get some nice action going. The ends were also not sharp, so it didn't hurt your hand every time you went up and down the neck.

SOUNDS

I wasn't a huge fan of the stock pickups in this thing. Then again, I'm not the biggest fan of Gibson pickups to begin with. The bridge was powerful, but it lacked what I usually look for in a bridge pickup. I like the pickup to be clear and tight, but it seemed to be voiced more towards the vintage side of things. The neck sounded decent, but I'd like it to be more powerful and smoother sounding. I'm a sucker for those ultra smooth guitar tones for leads, but that's probably because I use them as a bit of a crutch for lead playing.

OVERALL OPINION

The guitar really did have tone for days, despite me not being a huge fan of the stock pickups in this thing. You could tell by now nicely it resonated, and you can generally find these at a decent price on the internet. I find that these typically are put together a bit better and are more consistent than the Traditional, but I still find the Traditionals to be a better buy, price wise.

Le modèle de 1957 Historic dessus de la flamme est à peu près comme tout le reste des modèles historiques là-bas. Celui-ci a un sommet la flamme par opposition à la Goldtop normal que vous voyez. UTILISATION

La flamme sur ce modèle a été bien fait, mais certaines personnes n'aiment pas et appelez-le "barbecue" de la flamme. Ne sais pas pourquoi ... Ces modèles sont mis ensemble très bien. La première chose que vous remarquerez est que la finition elle-même est assez bien impeccable. Je ne pouvais trouver aucune goutte ou toute autre question où la liaison répond à la peinture. L'écrou lui-même était coupé parfaitement, il n'y avait donc pas de problèmes de réglage de s'inquiéter. Les frettes sur ce étaient bien nivelé, et j'ai été en mesure d'obtenir une action belle passe. Les extrémités ne sont pas non tranchants, donc il n'a pas blessé la main chaque fois que vous montait et descendait du cou.

SONORITÉS

Je n'étais pas un grand fan des micros stock dans cette chose. Là encore, je ne suis pas le plus grand fan de micros Gibson pour commencer. Le pont a été puissant, mais il manquait ce que je recherchent habituellement dans un micro chevalet. J'aime la camionnette pour être clair et serré, mais il semblait être exprimé plus vers le côté vintage de choses. Le cou sonnait décent, mais je voudrais qu'il soit plus puissant et plus lisse sondage. Je suis un surgeon pour ces tons ultra lisse pour la guitare mène, mais c'est probablement parce que je les utilise un peu comme une béquille pour la lecture de plomb.

AVIS GLOBAL

La guitare vraiment eu ton jour, malgré moi de ne pas être un grand fan de la micros stock dans cette chose. Vous pourriez dire maintenant joliment écho, et vous pouvez généralement trouver ces à un prix décent sur Internet. Je trouve que ces sont généralement mis en place un peu mieux et sont plus cohérents que les traditionnels, mais je trouve encore l'Traditionnelles à un meilleur achat, prix sages.
