Yes we're still here! There aren't any current plans for an update to Serato Sample but that doesn't mean there won't ever be an update. It would be great to see some of the features you all have been requesting as well as a few updates that we've been thinking of our own - we are definitely not doubting the power that including these features in Serato Sample would bring.
As you can tell currently development for Serato Studio has taken priority and if successful (and we hope it will be, obviously) then it's possible we could look into moving some of its great features to Serato Sample. As an alternative that AKIEM and others have suggested, including the ReWire protocol to link and route through multiple audio applications would bring nearly all of the requested features of Serato Sample into a VST workflow for Serato Studio. We have considered this but don't have plans to do this at this stage. Although we can't make that decision right now it's good to know that we do have these options!
I'm sorry that I don't have more information on an update for you at this stage but don't worry, we haven't forgotten about Serato Sample "
