The DigiTech Vocalist Live 5 is an effects and harmony processor. It is easy to use and I love the big LCD display screen because you can see what preset you are on or what option you are controlling easy because the letters are very big on the screen. The built in pitch correction on this unit is very good, I have not used another unit that had pitch correction that was this clean. Most of the effects are pretty simple and basic like reverb, delay and EQ but they get the job done.

UTILIZATION

There are 100 presets for your vocals that you can dial up quickly for your live performance. It has a real time built in guitar tuner and the footswitches are not on the same level (meaning one is higher than the other so you do not have to worry about hitting the wrong one while on stage).

SOUND QUALITY

This unit will follow the chords that you are playing (on guitar) and keep your pitch in the right key while you are singing. It is units like these that probably make so many guitarist and vocalist sound so much better live than they originally would.

OVERALL OPINION

My favorite feature of this unit is by far the pitch correction. It is so clean and is worth about 300 dollars itself and that is almost the price of this whole unit. Everything else like the presets and effects are just a bonus! My favorite vocal effects on the Vocalist Live 5 are the radio effect and distortion effects. They are very good and sound amazing. You get so many features with this little box, it is well worth every penny that it cost and I would by another one if this one ever stopped working but I don’t think it would stop working because it is built to last a long time and take a lot of foot action!
