2 canaux et 3 modes : classic hi-gain et modern hi-gain pour le canal satu, clean avec option boost pour le canal clair avec la possibilité d'ajuster le niveau de reverb pour les deux canaux, le tout étant contrôlable via le footswitch RF4G3.

UTILISATION
Tout l'ampli est d'une simplicité extrême à l'utilisation, pas besoin de manuel ou de conseil, il faut juste les potards et ajuster le son comme on l'entend. Le fait d'avoir un volume pour chaque canal est un veritable atout et on se prend vite au jeu du boost du son clair qui ne possède aucun réglage à part son switch et qui fonctionne parfaitement !
SONORITÉS
Les sonorités vont du très doux à l'aggression metalleuse ! Je l'utilise depuis deux ans avec une Edwards Horizon équipé d'un Di Marzio Tone Zone ainsi qu'avec une Les Paul. On Peut faire pratiquement tout ce qui est Hard Rock et Metal (Surtout Thrash, Heavy et Speed) ainsi que certaine parties pop en son clair. LE boost ouvre le champs des possibilités sonores du son clair. Il est un peu dommage cependant qu'on ne puisse pas vraiment un son crunch avec cet ampli.
AVIS GLOBAL
Je l'utilise depuis deux ans et tout s'est toujours bien passé. La reverb ajustable par canal et le clean boost sont vraiment superbes et en plus, j'ai joué pendant 3 ans sur la version G2 et j'ai pu noté (sans avoir toutefois essayé la version G3) que pratiquement tout les petits défauts avaient été retirés. Un son de cet qualité à ce prix, ça ne se trouve pas souvent et dans cet catégorie et surtout pour les amateurs de musiques fortes, je ne peux que recommander chaudement cet ampli.

(contenu en anglais)Randall is a company that has taken the modular preamps by storm. They have build a market for preamp swapping that has ignited the guitar players around the the world. Though this amp is not a modular design it still incorporates the sound and tone that makes Randall power amp a thing of the future.
This is one classy combo amplifier. This design has three channels but I would argue it has two. There is a clean channel and a vintage/modern channels which they claim is two channels for distortion. To me it is only more of the same but with just a different twist.

SOUNDS
The clean on Randall are somewhat unique to my ears. They have a Marshall or British style voicing to them that is not that appealing to me. I have never liked a Randall clean channel. It is better than a Splawn that is for sure. The clean is sort of a harder clean that doesn't sound that glassy to me or even reminiscent of a Fender tube amp.
There distortion channels is what Randall does well. These two channels or one with a twist has enough gain for just about anybody out there. It is a thick and juicy distortion that is great for chugging and lead riffing. Randall makes one of the best distortion in the business and this is one of them.
OVERALL OPINION
I don;t think Randall in in production of these amps anymore. I think they have pretty much fizzled out. You can find them on the used market for sure. I would recommend this amp to someone who wants a decent clean channel and an over the top distortion channel for vintage playing styles ad new modern playing. This amp is very versatile and will serve its user quite well.
