    Apple Pro MousePublié le 21/12/11 à 08:10

The Apple Pro Mouse is a wireless mouse for use with your Mac or PC. I guess it's technically a PC mouse, but it certainly works on either platform. I don't own this mouse but my roommate has it for his Mac Tower and uses it exclusively. He's a pop music producer and uses it with Logic and other DAW's. We work together a bunch so I also use it whenever we are collaborating. I really like how small this mouse is but it still feels good in your hand and is super easy to navigate with. It's got both left and right click buttons and a scrolling track ball in the middle of the two. It's nice to have the right click when you're using it on a Mac as this isn't something that you're going to get with an Apple mouse. It's also nice to have a wireless mouse as you can move it wherever you'd like to on your desk without having to worry about the slack of the cable. However, the best part about the Logitech M305 has to be the price as even though it's a cutting edge mouse and is some of the newest technology in terms of the size of it, it's still quite cheap. Anything from Apple is going to cost you a bunch, and although I do have a Mighty Mouse myself and love it, the M305 will save you some money, especially if you feel like you might want the right click option. I've only used it with a Mac, but for PC users it's going be great as well. It's not necessarily designed for use with a DAW, but in my experience it works great. Check out the Logitech M305 and the other mice from Logitech if you're looking for a cheap and comfortable mouse for your computer.

    Apple Pro MousePublié le 09/12/10 à 01:23

The Apple Pro Mouse is an early version of Apple's now almost perfected USB based mouse. This isn't a mouse that I would consider using any longer, as compared to the newer Apple Mouses like the Mighty Mouse, it's not very useful. It is USB based, which is rare for a mouse that is 10 years old or more, and shares the same look and general feel of the newer Apple mouses as well. It doesn't feature any buttons or a track ball, and really lacks any special features or anything behind being a simple mouse. Since it's of course designed for use with Apple computers, it doesn't have a right click option and only features the one push down button which is the entire mouse. For simple tasks it will still do the job, but having used one again recently, it's just not the same when you've become use to the Mighty Mouse. I can see how it could be useful for simple internet browsing and other simple tasks, but it's simply no longer adequate to use with your DAW, or at least it's not a mouse that I would find acceptable by modern standards. The upside is that you can get an Apple Pro Mouse virtually for free since there are a few updated versions of it that are also pretty cheap and much more useful. I still do have one of these at home, but doubt I'll ever use it again unless my Mighty Mouse breaks and need it for a few days until I can replace it. If you're doing any amount of work in a DAW or any other in depth computer work, this isn't going to be an adequate mouse considering the other options out there, however, the Pro Mouse will still be just fine for simple computer use...
