The Lexicon 200 is a digital reverb unit in the form of a rackable piece of outboard gear. It has XLR connections and will take up a good chunk of your rack, as it takes up about three of four rack spaces.
UTILIZATION
The configuration of the Lexicon 200 is kind of complex, but only because there are a ton of parameters and capabilities. It is pretty easy to pull up some basic reverb sounds and to manipulate the parameters to your liking, but there is also a whole programming section to the unit that I tend to shy away from most of the time, mostly because I don't have a use for it. I don't have a manual for this, so I can't say how helpful it would be to have it or not.
SOUND QUALITY
The sound quality of the Lexicon 200 digital reverb unit is very good, and it is possible to get a good amount of different sounding reverbs. I have used the Lexicon 200 on lead and back up vocals, electric guitar, snare drum, and other types of drums that may need reverb. You can pretty much find a sound on this for any type of application that you would like to use this with, as the sounds are varied and it provides you with a great deal of options.
OVERALL OPINION
I've been using the Lexicon 200 digital reverb for about a year. I like it because it has a great sound quality and gives the user a great deal of options. While I find myself shying away from reverbs like this, as I use reverb plug-ins a lot for their convenience and comparable sound quality, it is still an effective unit. For those who are big fans of Lexicon, this product won't let you down and works great in a number of different situations.
