    Remo TambourinePublié le 13/07/10 à 00:23

Remo’s standard Tambourine is a 10 inch percussion instrument that I’ve used for recording with a friend of mine. I don’t own the instrument as it was his, but we’ve recorded with it a number of times in my home studio. The Tambourine is 10 inches in diameter, with eight pairs of jingles and two rows each. Remo isn’t known for making percussion instruments, or at least not that I was aware of before using this, but this tambourine is definitely a good one. I wouldn’t say that this is exactly a professional’s instrument, but it’s pretty good nonetheless. It’s easy enough to play if you know how, and definitely has a vibrant sound that cuts through a mix well. I don’t know if they have many different models of tambourines, but the one that I used didn’t have any model number or anything on it. I don’t even know the type of drum skin on it or anything like that either, but it seemed to be somewhere in the middle in terms of it’s sturdiness and overall make up. So while I wouldn’t say that it feels cheap or like a toy, it also isn’t the sturdiest tambourine that I’ve used before. The price of the Remo isn’t known for making percussion instruments, or at least not that I was aware of before using this, but this tambourine is definitely a good one. The price of the Remo Tambourine is definitely not too much at all, making it the perfect tambourine for the studio owner or player who might not be using it all the time, but wants it around just in case. You never know when you might need a tambourine, especially in a recording studio environment, so the Remo Tambourine is a great option for those looking for a solid, low cost tambo.
