A. The SC2 is the original Joemeek compressor that made industry professionals, producers, and engineers stand up and take notice due to it's remarkable sound quality. At almost $2,000.00, it is not considered an inexpensive compressor, yet it is considerably less than other "World Class" competitors. We suggested to the factory to come up with a new model at a lower price. The SC2.2 was created to meet a lower price. It uses the same chassis as the SC3, which is smaller in size and less costly. The SC2.2 uses only XLR I/O's where the SC2 has both XLR and 1/4" I/O's. The SC2 has a switchable transformer which is useful for producers and engineers who travel with the SC2 worldwide. The SC2.2 has a fixed 115 volt transformer so it can only be used in areas supplying that voltage. There are a few added extras on the SC2.2 like detented pots, an added position on the slope control for more severe compression effects, and the output gain control was brought to the front panel on the SC2.2, where it is still on the rear of the SC2.

The SC2.2 is a great unit and is very affordable. It will be able to reach a larger market due to it's price. It is not quite as thick and imaging in it's sound as the SC2. It is very close, but the original is, well, the original! The SC2 has a certain sound to it that the upper end market demands. If you have never heard the SC2, you will go nuts for the SC2.2 because it sounds like a Joemeek SC2, but if your familiar with the SC2, you will notice the difference in the imaging effect and thickness. We are not claiming the SC2.2 is not good. It is great! It is just different than the SC2. The attack time is faster on the SC2.2 then the SC2 which adds to it's slight difference, and the fifth slope positions adds a more whacky effect sound. The SC2.2 is truly a more updated SC2, at a lower price, so if you can't afford the SC2, the SC2.2 will be the next best thing. Either model will soar above it's competition!

Salut, avez-vous maintenant de nouveaux avis sur les derniers joemeek ? pour le twin Q je ne vois qu'un seul avis, il s'avère plutot tres positif. Est-ce que certains d'entre vous peuvent donner leurs impressions svp ?

Merci le druide, et pour toi donc l'avis reste tout de meme plus ou moins inchangé, malgres le recul et les différents avis que tu as pu avoir ? Un tfpro p2 est bien mieux donc pour toi ?

Un tfpro a une ame et un son.
c'est un vrai joemeek.

les "actuels" sont différents.
c'est pas forcément de mauvaises machines mais c'est pas forcément des tueries non plus.
c'est banal, c'est en concurrence avec le reste.
le compresseur est capable d'une agressivité caricaturale qui n'a rien à voir avec du vrai joemeek... et les démonstrateurs à frankfurt étaient cons, aggressifs envers tfpro... et leur démos faisaient pas envie (vraiment pas).

à la limite le petit serait le plus proche de ce que faisait tfpro.
pour les autres, ils ont bien fait de changer leur "vert"...
c'est pas la même "couleur", en effet...

Une dernière question le duide (ou quelqu'un d'autre), sil te plai, est-ce que le VC1QCS et exactement le meme que la TFpro P1 ou un ou l'autre a un "+" de fiabilité, qualité de fabrication ou autre... Si ce n'est qu'une affaire de gout en gros ? Merci d'avance
