The Skreddy Pedals™ Major Overdrive cleans up well with the guitar volume and has a massive voice like a huge early 70's British tube amplifier.
Has a "brown sound" flavor, kinda like a tube amp that has a variac on the power supply to reduce the voltage slightly. The tone is clear, focused, and balanced with a beefy low-mid and a buttery high end. The attack is punchy and cutting, with just enough compression to be chewy and in the pocket.
Very reactive to the touch, chords have excellent string separation, there is plenty of crunch and growl. Pretty much nails every late 70's/early 80's guitar god tone!
You will be inspired to play longer and write new tunes, your guitar will sound so good! Lots of sounds available--just play with the knobs and your guitar's controls too.
Regular 9v negative ground, no special power requirements. 9v battery is not included. If you use a battery, then remember to un-plug the input cable from the pedal’s input jack when not in use to prevent draining (or you can also just plug in a power-supply, which disconnects the battery).
You may supply external power through an AC adapter. All Skreddy Pedals accept the industry-standard 9v DC plug (5.5mm barrel x 2.1mm center coax), negative tip. Please use a quality, regulated, filtered power supply.
