Le poids est pour moi un argument de taille. Petit setup transportable, mal de dos.

12-voice dual polysynth
MicroMonsta 2 is a brand new synth design based on our critically acclaimed MicroMonsta synthesizer.
Despite the fact they share the same name, they are different in every way: brand new hardware with much more powerful dsp, upgraded switches and encoders, new low profile sexy aluminum enclosure, and updated algorithms. It is also USB powered and the output can drive a pair of headphones.
MicroMonsta 2 is easier to use and understand, while still retaining the power of the sound engine, upgraded with:
Bi-timbrality (2 different sounds at the same time)
12-voice polyphony
Better oscillators (some of them FM-capable)
FM-capable filters
More modulation matrix slots
Delay + reverb (per timbre, yes, PER TIMBRE)

What are the differences between MicroMonsta and MicroMonsta 2 ?
What MicroMonsta 2 doesn’t have from MicroMonsta:
The p6 rz1, rz2 and rz3 oscillators
Envelope shape parameter
8-step lfo, scaler, arp sequencer and chorder
MIDI Out / Thru port
MPE (although this is planned in a very future firmware update)
What MicroMonsta 2 have that MicroMonsta doesn’t:
Updated oscillator algorithms, including some FM capable ones
FM capable filter
3 oscillators, oscillator 3 being the FM source for oscillator 1 and filter
Per voice drive
The sound engine is voiced more aggressively
LFOs can be free running, key triggered or per voice with optional one-shot for using them as additional envelopes
More modulation slots with more sources, negating the need for the MicroMonsta scalers
Bi-timbrality (play 2 different sounds at the same time)
Different play modes: monotimbral, bitimbral or combi
Combi modes: monotimbral, stack, split or multi
Delay and reverb per timbre
Aluminum enclosure

Are presets compatible between MicroMonsta and MicroMonsta 2 ?
Given the differences in the sound engines, the answer is no, they aren’t.
Does MicroMonsta 2 ship with a power supply ?
MicroMonsta 2 is USB powered and ships with a USB cable only.
Any USB power adapter will work, as long as it is capable of outputting 250mA, that should be the case with all of them now.
It can also be powered from a computer USB port, but in this case, pay attention to the fact that you can easily create a ground loop, and depending on your setup, this can generate noise on MicroMonsta 2 ouput. Solutions to this problems are: USB isolators on the USB side or ground loop isolators (line level DIs with ground lift) on the audio side.

J'ai une autre question quand je lis tout ça : il va vraiment s'appeler "micromonsta 2"? Pourquoi ne pas avoir changé de nom en fait?
Il est très sympa hein, c'est pas le souci, mais pour éviter la confusion étant donné qu'on change pas mal de choses quand même..(sûrement plus qu'entre le P6 et le micromonsta v1 par exemple)
et même commercialement parlant jouer sur la "nouveauté" c'est toujours plus attirant je pense..
A titre personnel j'espère aussi que la mention "2" ou "mk2" ne figurera pas sur le boîtier , j'ai toujours eu un problème avec les versions numérotées sur les synthés
Je préfère laisser ça au monde du software où le principe des MAJ prédomine..
si on a qu'une v2 ou une V3 on a toujours l'impression d'avoir raté un épisode.. mais ça ca vient sûrement de mes TOCs...besoin de symétrie etc 
(par exemple j'ai d'entrée disqualifié le REV2 en raison de son horrible nom...bien gros sur son panel en plus...non mais "REV2" quoi..
)
