Two Rock is an amplifier company based out of California that builds high end quality amps that has been featured by many of today's professional artist's such John Mayer and Joe Bonamassa. These amps are not amps that are at your local Guitar Center or Sam Ash. These amps are extremely expensive and hard to find. They have have an assortment of different amps to choose from and this one is more on the uber high priced amps.

This amp is on Two Rock's high side for amplifiers. These amps are just outrageously priced and really nothing to brag about. It has some different voicing switches and Eqing parameters that allows for the user to dial in different tones but come on..nothing here constitutes these kinds of prices. There just insist enough here to make this amp more than a $2500 amp.

SOUNDS

This amp does sound god and I give them credit for that. There amps have a great clean tone but how good is a clean tone really. Chances are you won't use strictly a clean tone for very much of your gigging or playing. You will probably use an overdrive pedal or an effects of some sort which colors your clean tone and to which you back at Fender square one.

These amps sound great with with any guitar you pull out of your closet. I prefer a good single coil guitar like a Fender Stratocaster or a Fender Telecaster. If you spend $5000 on an amp for a good clean tone then you better use something that will chime and sparkle. So I would say the single coiled guitars are the best match for these amps.

OVERALL OPINION

At new these amps come in right at around $5000....holy crap that is a hell of a lot of money. Can they really charge this kind of prices? Well they do and some people take the plunge. This is just stupid pricing. I'm sorry but Two Rock doesn't have special components that no body else has access to. When it comes to boutique amp building it really is a game of inches and this is a big jump in prices for something that is not that much different than a Goodsell amp or a Dr. Z.
